Winter Means It Is Time to Freshen Up at Island Vista Resort

Wintertime is a perfect time to recharge and refresh. You can do that by planning your new year and making resolutions to do better in the coming year, and we do that by taking the time during the slower months to freshen up our property.

Island Vista Resort in Myrtle Beach is all about luxury, and we know that if our property is anything less than perfectly clean and well-maintained, it can take away from your perfect vacation experience. That’s why if you visit in the winter, you may see some of us with paint cans, steam cleaners and other tools of the freshening trade.

And if you haven’t been to Island Vista Resort in awhile, you’ll also notice some luxurious new updates—especially when you climb into bed!

“We have these really sumptuous Egyptian cotton sheets from Italy, they’re so fresh, so comfortable,” said Shelley Chapman of Island Vista Resort. “It’s all white bedding and really fresh, fluffy duvets that get washed and pressed every time. They’re fabulous. Plus we also just replaced all of our mattresses—which we get from this amazing family owned company in Charleston that’s been making mattresses since 1914.”

In addition to the fresh new bedding and new mattresses, the resort also recently updated sofas, coffee tables in larger suites and added accent mirrors and swivel rockers in larger suites. Island Vista resort is also one of the most energy efficient resorts in Myrtle Beach, utilizing energy management systems and recently replacing HVAC units with energy efficient models in nearly all units.

With all of those improvements already complete, “this winter we’ll mostly be focusing on polishing everything up and getting ready for the year,” Chapman said. So come back and visit soon and see all that we’ve done to assure that Island Vista continues to be among the finest resorts in Myrtle Beach.
