Top Three Breakfast Restaurants in Myrtle Beach
One of our favorite things about being on vacation is the change to really enjoy the activities we’re always in too much of a hurry to appreciate in our daily grind. That’s why we love breakfast on vacation—when we’re home, it’s so often a bite to go on the way out the door, but when you’re on vacation it’s a chance to enjoy delicious food and conversation and set out our plan for the day … even when that plan consists of a whole lot of nothing.
Here are our picks for three of the top breakfasts in Myrtle Beach, in no particular order:
The Cypress Room
It’s not just because it’s right onsite—meaning you don’t even have to leave Island Vista to get your breakfast—The Cypress Room simply serves up some of the best food around. There are number of options for full breakfasts, from huevos rancheros with salsa fresca, sour cream and avocado to omelettes with grits or potatoes to light and fluffy Belgian waffles. And it’s all served up with a stunning ocean view.
Sea Captain’s House
Sea Captain’s House is kind of a Myrtle Beach institution. There’s a full breakfast buffet if that’s your kind of thing, and made to order omelets whose reputation precedes them. We also thoroughly enjoy the eggs benedict at Sea Captain’s House, and like The Cypress Room, this restaurant is oceanfront, offering up gorgeous morning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house itself is a historic property, so be sure to take a look around at one of the restaurants that visitors to Myrtle Beach have been visiting for decades.
Croissants Bistro & Bakery
Croissants doesn’t have an ocean view to boast, in fact, it’s tucked away in a business park off Grissom Parkway. But you’ll forgive Croissants for the scenery when you taste the food. Expect unusual and modern spins on Southern classics, such as Carolina hash with pulled pork BBQ and a country grits and egg soufflé. The shrimp and grits, too, are a favorite, with fried green tomatoes, spinach and black BBQ sauce. Plus, on your way out you can pick up some cookies or a dessert—you won’t regret it.
