Island Vista offering free, daily entertainment for the summer!
The best playground in the world is right outside the back door at Island Vista Resort—the beach! But this Myrtle Beach resort is also offering extra entertainment to spice up your vacation, all without having to leave our resort grounds.
Beginning with the first Thursday in June, Island Vista guests can enjoy reggae night for free at 6 p.m. Come on down to the pool deck in front of the Tiki Hut bar and grill, relax, and enjoy three hours of reggae music with great ocean views.
Reggae night is fun for the whole family: “They usually bring out little drum sets for the kids to play along,” said Brittany Knecht, front office manager at Island Vista resort. The reggae nights will be held every Thursday evening through the end of August.
Every Monday during the summer from June through August, a family from Hawaii that now lives in the Myrtle Beach area will bring their authentic, high-energy hula and fire show, which lasts 45 minutes to an hour. “Chief Kamu’s show is really cool, the guests all just love it—parents and kids,” Knecht said. The show gets started at 7:30 p.m. on the pool deck in front of Island Vista’s Tiki Hut bar and grill.
All through the summer, there will also be live music on the pool deck around noon. The daily live entertainment will begin in early June.
There’s no wait for the Tiki Hut, however, it’s open now! The Tiki Hut at Island Vista Resort is open noon to 5 p.m. now, though it stays open until 8 or later during the peak of the summer season(weather-permitting).
