Flock of Parrot Heads Headed to La Belle Amie Vineyard Feb. 22
Looking for something different to do on your late winter trip to Myrtle Beach? If you’ll be around Feb. 22, we recommend you grab your favorite Hawaiian shirt and head to La Belle Amie Vineyard in Little River! If you’ve never been to this lovely locale, you’re in for a treat.
The vineyard, in addition to offering one of our favorite foodie and wine-themed gift shops, has gorgeous grounds where you can relax and enjoy an enchantingly good time, as well as take a vineyard tour and sample some delicious wines. But the fun really gets going when the vineyard hosts music festivals, which are held regularly throughout the year. One upcoming festival that is sure to be a good time is the Winter Parrot Head Fest, which will be held Feb. 22 from noon to 5 p.m.
The Jamaican Jerks and the Paul Grimshaw band will play live music all day at the Parrot Head Fest, and any Jimmy Buffet fan will appreciate their musical stylings, so bring a folding chair down with you. Admission to the fest is $8 per person, and if you bring two canned or dry food items along with you to donate to area food banks you’ll get $3 off admission. Admission is free for those younger than 18 or older than 80.
Smokin’ Pitt BBQ and the Vineyard Grill will have food available for purchase (no outside food or drink is allowed), and beer, wine and soda will also be sold. A vineyard tour will be held at 2:30 p.m.—a cool chance to see how the wines are made as well as hear the story of the history of the vineyard from the owner, Vickie.
