Eat Food from 50+ Myrtle Beach Restaurants at Taste of the Town Oct. 22
Every fall since 1984, some of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach have collected and shared samples of their favorite dishes—and they’ve done it all for a good cause! This year, the Taste of the Town, a fundraiser for St. Andrew Catholic Church, will be held Oct. 22 from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
This year, more than 50 different Myrtle Beach restaurants will serve “tapas-style” servings of their desserts, entrees and appetizers. Admission to the event is $6 at the door, $5 in advance, with kids 14 and younger admitted free. Once at the show, you simply purchase tickets for $1 and use them to purchase food and beverages from different vendors. There will also be live music throughout the event and a kids’ zone complete with a rock climbing wall!
The full lineup for the 2013 event has not yet been set, but in 2012, participating restaurants included:
o Biminis Oyster Bar & Seafood Café
o Fiesta Mexicana Mexican Restaurant
o Bliss Restaurant
o Pier House Restaurant
o Melting Pot
o Rive City Café
o Nacho Hippo
o Sea Captain’s House
o Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery
Thousands of locals and visitors to the area will gather to celebrate the culinary scene in Myrtle Beach, and, of course, to get their nosh on! It’s a great way to sample an array of area restaurants. So make your plans to come down and give it a try, but remember: Come hungry!
