Myrtle Beach Golf on a Budget
Myrtle Beach has a myriad of golf courses available for play year
round. However, some golfers are on budgets that don’t allow
them to play as much as they would like. Other golfers with high handicaps
do not want to spend too much on green fees until they have gotten
a lot better at golf. Whatever your situation, there are some great
golf courses you can play in Myrtle Beach on a budget.
Many deals can be found in Myrtle Beach simply by looking in the newspaper
every day. There are usually advertisements for special deals on golf
rounds if they are played the same day the ad was put out. If you
are staying in a hotel with a golf course, many will give you a discount
for playing their course as well. Below are some great golf courses
that are great for play and easy on your pocketbook.
The Witch golf
course is a much underrated Myrtle Beach golf course. It is laid
out in the wetlands of Conway, well away from the hubbub of Myrtle
Beach, without houses or condos around to intrude on your golfing
experience. There are no out of bounds, only lateral hazards. 4,000
feet of bridges carry you over the gorgeous wetlands and undergrowth.
Thistle golf
course is a Myrtle Beach favorite, both for the course itself
and the relaxed pace
of play. Diamondback golf course is another good choice. It's
sometimes described as a soggy golf course, but the course’s
drainage system prevents that from being as much of a problem as it
is for other golf courses.
Oyster Bay is still a very popular golf course for Myrtle Beach regulars
and River’s Edge golf course has an outstanding design. Wildwing's
three courses, Willbrook Plantation, Possum Trot and Prestwick Country
Club all have great layouts that you can play without breaking
the bank.
