Myrtle Beach has a Great Small Town Feel

While Myrtle Beach is one of the premiere tourist spots in the Southeast United States, it has always been able to maintain a great small town feel. With 15 million people visiting Myrtle Beach every year, it might seem strange that there are only 30,000 residents living within the city limits of Myrtle Beach.

These residents have managed to keep a friendly feel in Myrtle Beach. Walking down the street in Myrtle Beach, you can find your self being greeted with “Good afternoon,” and “How are you doing today?” from perfect strangers. The southern hospitality is hard to miss in Myrtle Beach.

Despite all of the hype Myrtle Beach has received, it has stayed the same friendly, casual beach town it’s always been. After all, most of today’s Myrtle Beach business owners were once beach bums themselves. Even the world renowned seafood restaurants are down to earth. Most of the really nice restaurants don’t even require a jacket for dining.

If you are thinking of vacationing in Myrtle Beach, be ready to have quite a relaxing time. Once you have stepped into Myrtle Beach, you will feel as if you have lived there your whole life. Beware however, once you come for vacation, you will never want to leave!.
