Enjoy The Game

If you enjoy to golf, you should take a golf vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. There are some amazing amenities and beautiful golf courses at the beautiful Myrtle Beach resort. Golfing is a great sport that involves many different skills and vast amounts of interest. Beginners of the game may want to start by playing local executive golf courses, or some of the easier public courses in the area. In addition, when your game is ready for the big leagues, go for it and have fun. Public Golf courses can be found in almost every city in the nation and usually provide rental equipment and supplies for all your needs.

When beginning to play, it is important to know that strokes are really just an attempt to strike and advance the golf ball. The fewer number of strokes it takes a player to get the ball in the hole, the lower the golf score. The long-term objective is to complete the 18 individual holes in the lowest number of strokes possible, while still being able to enjoy the game. A golf course is where the game is played, and is made up of 18 individual and unique holes that all have a cup in which the ball eventually ends up in. The holes vary in distance, difficulty and terrain. The golf course consists of Par threes, Par fours and Par fives. The par numbers assigned to each hole refer to how many strokes it should take a player to get the ball in the hole.

Par fours holes are longer than the Par threes, and require a long tee shot and an "approach" or second shot to get to the green. Once on the green, two putts to get the ball in the hole.

Par threes are holes that are relatively short and a player should get the ball on the green from the Tee box in one shot, and two putts to get the ball in the hole.

Par fives are the longest holes on the golf course, and typically require three shots to get to the green. The Tee shot needs to be long, and is usually done with the Driver. The second shot is usually taken with a three wood to advance the ball as far as possible. Then, with a little luck, the player has a short third shot to the green. Two putts to get the ball in the hole. These tips can help get you acquainted with the sport and enjoy a great and intelligent game. Keep in mind also that when playing golf, you will need to be able to stand and swing the club, and see where the ball has gone after you have hit the ball. It is possible to play golf well even if you have minor physical impairments. To succeed at golf you need to be able to 'see' the invisible lines the golf ball will travel, and be able to work out where you want to hit the ball, and how hard you need to hit it. There is no need to rush when playing golf, you can relax with your friends and enjoy yourself.
